This September, the Ontario Municipal Taxation and Revenue Association Conference returns to Deerhurst Resort for four unforgettable days designed to energize, inform, and connect municipal revenue professionals from across Ontario.

Deerhurst Resort Booking Instructions:

Guests can call the Reservations Department at 1-800-461-4393 and identify themselves as being with the OMTRA (Ontario Municipal Tax and Revenue Association) to qualify for the group rates. The first night’s room and taxes will be taken as a deposit to confirm the booking. The remaining balance will be charged seven days prior to arrival. Reservations can be shortened or cancelled up to 7 days before arrival without penalty.

Please book your room prior to August 5, 2026. Reservations after that date cannot be guaranteed at the agreed room rate.

Companions are welcome!

You can register your companion as a guest during your registation process. The cost per guest is $600 + hst. This includes all meals and breaks, and includes the Tuesday night banquet. 

Additional Event Details

Please note the following important information relating to this function:

1. Please contact Conference Hotel directly to arrange your accommodation by calling the number provided. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that delegates book accommodation early. The deadline for booking your accommodation is August 5, 2026 at 4 p.m.
2. Dress is business casual (jeans are acceptable) and business formal for the Tuesday Gala.
3. Name badges must be worn to all functions.
4. Registration deadline is July 15, 2026. Registrations received after this date will be subject to a $100.00 + HST late fee.
5. By registering for and attending this event you under tand your photo may be taken and used by the Association.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations may be cancelled prior to July 15, 2026 for 100% refund. After July 15, 2026, a 75% refund is available before August 8, 2026. Regrettably, no refunds will be issued for cancellations received after August 8, 2026, however substitutions are accepted. For registrations where the fees have not been paid in advance, and have not been cancelled prior to the August 8, 2026 deadline, invoices will be issued with the appropriate fee to the registrant.

Standard Waiver: In the event the 2026 OMTRA Fall Conference fails to take place as scheduled or is interrupted and/or discontinued, or access to the premises is prevented or interfered with by reason of strike, lockout, injunction, Act of War, Act of God, emergency declared by a Government agency or for any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the OMTRA, the delegates and participants release the OMTRA from all damages and claims for damages. The program as stated is confirmed at the time of printing. Due to circumstances beyond the control of the OMTRA, the program may be subject to change without notice.

The Ontario Municipal Taxation and Revenue Association has been made aware of fraudulent calls and emails targeting conference attendees. These scams may ask you to confirm credit card or personal information to “secure” hotel bookings or registrations.

Please note: Neither OMTRA nor our venue partner, Deerhurst Resort, will ever request payment or personal details in this way.

If you receive a suspicious call or message:

• Do not share any personal or payment information
• Do not click on unfamiliar links or download attachments
• Report the message as spam and notify us immediately

⛳ Swing Into Conference Week: OMTRA Golf Scramble at Deerhurst

 Event Details

• Location: Deerhurst Golf Course
• Format: 4-person team scramble (best ball – all skill levels welcome!)
• Time: 2:00 PM shotgun start (everyone tees off at the same time from different holes)
• Duration: Approximately 2 hours
• Capacity: Maximum of 36 golfers (9 teams of 4)
• Cost: $50 + HST per golfer

We’ll be keeping things moving to ensure a great pace of play—expect a quick kickoff
