OMTRA will engage its retired and retiring members, recognizing that they are a valued part of the community and can continue to contribute through knowledge and skills transfer.

March 31, 2024 the following was placed in the OMTRA newsletter:

Are you retiring this year?? Please consider letting us know and we will switch your membership to a RETIRED status for the remainder of the year.  And, if you would like to still be actively involved in the Association please let us know.  We are working toward:

• Formulating a strategy for engaging retiring and retired members that offers them a variety of volunteer options with defined time commitments, introductory training, and opportunities to socialize.
• Exploring, developing and launching a micro-mentoring or full mentoring program.
• Developing a database of retirees that may be looking for short term employment opportunities
• Inviting retired members to act as hosts for online forums.
